Be Green at Work!
This idea was submitted by a YCS
Employee:
“Turn
off lights during the day.
You can save energy & reduce
stress by using natural light.”
In
September, 2008, Rutgers University launched the largest solar energy program
in the
New Jersey.
The 7 acre solar “farm” will
generate 10% of the Livingston
Campus’ electrical demand, reducing
carbon dioxide (CO2)
emissions by 1,200 tons annually. It
will save Rutgers $200,000 in its first year of operation, and an
estimated $300,000 thereafter.
